The Secret To Happiness {review}

Disclosure:  I recieved the following product in exchange for my honest review.  No other compensation was provided.  All opinions are my own.

What is the Secret to Happiness?   I can't say that I know, but Hugo does!

I recently read Hugo the Happy Starfish - The Secret to Happiness to my 7yr old and loved it.

Hugo is a little starfish. He finds his life dull. Tired of feeling sad, one day he sets off to find happiness. After much searching, he discovers something that makes his heart do a somersault! Sharing with others is the only thing that makes him truly happy; all other things just made him feel better for a little while.

Adults strive to teach children to share within their communities. Encouraging children to give teaches them empathy, as well as a sense of social responsibility. Children can feel empowered by giving and sharing with others.

With all the bullying going on in recent times, not only in school, but everywhere, this is an important lesson that EVERYONE (not just kids) need to learn.

In The Secret to Happiness, Suzy Liebermann's character, Hugo, teaches chilren attitude empathy.   Suzy has written many, many Hugo books, all with the intention of learning valuable lessions of character, life skills and ecologocial alertness.
I love that these books are not all about Hugo, but rather, Hugo wants us to learn to be better people.

I give this book

(yes, I know my rating only goes up to 5 stars... lol  This series is THAT good)

The Secret to Happiness
is An award winning children’s book:
Award-Winning Finalist in the CHILDREN'S MIND/ BODY/ SPIRIT
category of The USA "Best Books 2012" Awards, sponsored by USA Book News

You can even watch a picture trailer of Hugo!

Here are some of Suzy L's other books!  Be sure to check them out.  I've had the pleasure of reading several of them, so keep an eye out on Amazon, every so often you can download them FREE

There is also an entire "Island" series, with 14 books:

Hugo is a little starfish whose home is at the bottom of the wide ocean. He longs to visit the real world, and one day he decides to go and find it. Hugo's journey to happiness isn't quite as straightforward as he hopes though. He is sent to a series of different islands where he is taught important character lessons.

By the end of his journey, Hugo has visited fourteen islands, made many more friends and, most importantly, learned how to be a better starfish.

‘HUGO THE HAPPY STARFISH - ISLAND ADVENTURES’ is packed with life lessons for kids, showing them the importance of appreciation, patience, tolerance and optimism amongst others.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
