The NKJV Prophecy Study Bible, 2015 Edition Book Review

So very recently I have accepted Christ as my personal Savior.  Often I feel like I'm at a slight disadvantage in learning (vs those that have spent their entire lives in church)  simply because my own 10yr old likely knows more than I do at this point.  I attribute it half to mommy-brain and half to my brain no longer being the sponge that children have.

Also, I have always been very logic and science based in my life.  What I believe is because I see, hear or know it.  Allowing faith to take over hasn't been easy, in fact, it's probably been one of the most difficult changes I've ever done, however, I believe God has given me the strength to have the faith, and the faith to have the strength.  In that, I now look for things God has done in my life, vs trying to find ways he hasn't (the old self.)

When I received the opportunity to review The NKJV Prophecy Study Bible, I realized this was a great moment for me to read about something I've been curious about, but trying to simply read about it in the KJV Bible has been difficult.

So first here's the run-down of what The NKJV Prophecy Study Bible offers:

The prophecies of the Bible assure us that God will prevail. The NKJV Prophecy Study Bible, 2015 Edition has hundreds of pages of special features that offer a broad understanding of prophetic themes, salvation, covenants, and other important doctrines of the Christian faith.

Can you already see why this Bible has been interesting to me!?

The first thing I noticed when I opened the package was the cover itself.  It wasn't "busy" and overwhelming to look at. As a matter of fact, it's just that... matter of fact.

There are so many pieces to this book that fully excite me...  First, I should say this is not the 'normal' book review.  I have NOT read 100% of this book.  Why? Because it's the entire bible, PLUS the Prophecy study guide information.  So let's be clear on that, please.
The first thing I noticed when I started reading through the supplements is that there is a LOT of information.
The front of the book includes the obvious forward and a list of the Old & New Testaments, as well as your usual index.

What you don't expect is what else you find.  There is a full index to ALL of the prophecies in the ENTIRE bible.  These are listed in order of book, based on when they have, or will be fulfilled.

So for example, The first section is Prophecies Fulfilled from the Beginning to the Exile of Judah.
The first one is Gen 2:17 Death to be normal lot of mankind  This was fulfilled in Gen 3:19; 5:5.

It goes on to list ones from the Exile of Judah to the First Coming of Christ, then ones fulfilled AT the First Coming of Christ, then onto ones fulfilled during the church age, then finally after the Rapture of the church,

The sheer information JUST listed in these pages there is awe-inspiring.  It really makes you want to read further, to find out more information on the ones that are still unfulfilled.

What pleases me, is that as a beginner in Christ... one still on milk-toast, this book for me is still quite easy to read and understand.

The most informative piece to this is the Events in the End Times section.
This gives complete information on the Last Days, a full explanation of the Rapture and The Tribulation and what to expect in both, INCLUDING the bible verses that completely explain and tell us to expect these events.

I am so looking forward to using this Bible in my daily study, my furthering of my Biblical education, and continuing to increase my Faith.

I would highly suggest this book to anyone who is looking for in depth information on the Prophecies of the Bible and the End Days.  As a matter of fact, I'll be bringing it to church on Sunday and excitedly showing my Pastor!!

  1. I wouldn’t say this is the easiest study bible I’ve ever used but neither is it difficult to figure out. It’s not just a normal study bible to study scripture but it is one that focuses on prophecy. The bible starts out with explanations and studies of the end times. There are charts and time lines to help you understand. There is also information to tell you how to use this bible. John Hagee has done a wonderful job explaining prophecy. It is a very difficult subject to understand and many have different beliefs on what the end times mean exactly. I tend to agree with John Hagee and how he interprets scripture.
