50 Italian Pastries - book review

With my busy life, it took me a while to get to this book to review (it was, unfortunately for it, behind several longer books in line) but I'm SO glad I did.

Product Details

You would imagine, from the title, that it's a book of recipes, specifically about pastries.  You would be VERY wrong.

This book is FAR from a recipe book.  It's touted by it's author as "Short fiction for people too busy to read a novel."  And that it is!

50 Italian Pastries, by Jerry Guarino has some really great, funny short stories.  My favorite, by far, is Preheat the Microwave.com.  The last line of it, is absolutely my favorite.

An elderly woman reached over and said, “Do you have any pop corn?”
The cook said, “In a minute, we’re preheating the microwave.”

That in a nutshell, is the comedy that is, 50 Italian Pastries.

Want to know more?  Check it out yourself. You can find it on Amazon in kindle and paperback editions.
