No More Stinky Helmets {review}

You heard me right! NO MORE STINKY HELMETS!! This is an issue for a lot of sports/bike enthusiasts... If you've ever ridden a motorcycle on a hot day, you know what I'm talking about!!!

So my mom, in the height of her (what I term her mid-life crisis...) she bought herself a convertible car, and a Harley Davidson Softail Motorcycle.
Yes... my mom is a full-fledged motorcycle rider.

Veronica Ramos

And her helmet...STINKS!!
I made the mistake one day, of picking it up to put it on, pretending I was going riding... EEWWWWWWWW

mom, in her helmet
So when I had the opportunity to review Stuffitts for Helmets... I JUMPED on the chance!!!
As soon as I got it in the mail, I immediately drove over to my mom's house, and stuffed it into her helmet.
WOW!!!!
The first thing I noticed, is it's got a GREAT cedar smell. This is a good thing, because my mom is very sensitive to smells... so anything else she'd have freaked out about.

The next thing I noticed, is that it fits perfectly!

Stuffitts® For Helmets is a uniquely effective solution to protect expensive half- and full-cut helmets from damaging moisture and odor. The single-sized insert is easy to push into the helmet and typically fits snugly enough to remain in the helmet even when stored in the upright position.

Features
Micropoly wicking fabric infused with Microban antimicrobial product protection
Proprietary composition of Eastern red cedar
Patent pending channel stitched design to maintain consistent insert form
Contoured design creates maximum coverage inside helmet
Benefits
Rapidly dries inside of helmet preventing growth of odor-causing bacteria
Creates fresh cedar scent
Keeps inside of helmet like new

Stuffitts is pioneering a new category to keep your expensive wearable sporting gear from getting that permanent "wet and nasty" stench. We have a complete line of Antimicrobial Drying Inserts for shoes, helmets, gloves and gear that are highly effective, easy to use and very affordable.

So I had my mom use this, in her helmet, for the last 2 weeks.  Each time she rode her bike, when she got home, she put it back in her helmet.  Her boyfriend, Donn, also rides, and also has a helmet, just like hers.  He, however, did not get to use the Stuffits.  (trying something here, not being mean!!)

After the full 2 weeks, mom's helmet, with the Stuffits gone, did NOT have that icky sweaty smell to it.  Also, when she went to put her helmet on the next day, after using the Stuffits, her helmet was always dry.
Several times, Donn's helmet was still icky sweaty. And after the 2 weeks, his only smelled worse.

All in all, this is a GREAT product for anyone who wears a helmet... motorcycle riders,

Interested in buying one for yourself?  I don't blame you! Check them out on their website.  You can also find them on Amazon!

Finally, here's a video, that you'll want to watch, to get more aquainted with Stuffits:

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

That's awesome that your mom is a biker lol. I have an aversion to bikes since my daughter was in a bike accident a few years ago {she has some lasting effects but is ok} but... :)
